Data Analyst Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Gather data from Neighborhood Health programs and/or community partners, populate tables, create data visualizations, and present those data• Use and visualize data to proactively identify program and/or data quality issues, develop programmatic solutions, and implement those solutions
• Contextualize analysis with community-level data and/or literature
• Perform data analysis in Microsoft Excel on a regular basis for various stakeholders
• Develop, administer, enter data from, and analyze data from surveys
• Write data summaries, including interpretation and/or recommendations
• Support development of external-facing products (e.g. health briefs, reports, journal articles)
• Recruit participants for focus groups and structured interviews
• Conduct structured interviews and/or facilitate focus groups
• Analyze qualitative data (i.e. coding transcripts) from focus groups and structured interviews
• Other duties as assigned by Neighborhood Health leadership team

Qualifications
• Pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of  data for program management and/or evaluation
• Microsoft Excel (specifically, VLOOKUP and PivotTables)

Data Visualization Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location: Seattle, WA
Responsibilities
• Work with protected areas to survey all of their different data sources.
• Work on processes to centralize data
• Identify reporting needs
• Find commonalities between the needs of different protected areas.
• Design and develop reports and data visualizations to aid in decision-making, prioritized for the largest number of areas that they will benefit.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of these reports

Qualifications
• Graduate student currently pursuing a degree from an accredited institution
• Strong background in data analysis and visualization
Understanding of conservation, security and/or biology is preferred
• Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, and ideally GIS software like Esri
• Ability to work with people of drastically varied backgrounds to understand problems and collect requirements

Data Analyst, Nonprofit
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Washington, DC
Responsibilities
• Primary responsibility is to implement reporting pipelines and prepare dashboards to fulfill client needs
• Validate analysis and client deliverables against user requirements
• Prepare client facing documentation, including data dictionaries
• Manage simultaneous workstreams, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while identifying areas for efficiency gains
• Collaborate with clients and client-facing teams to define user requirements for analytical products, developing fundraising and email engagement data expertise along the way
• Work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, and solution architects to create insightful analyses and tools that empower decision makers 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree. 
• Excellent analytical reasoning skills. 
• Sharp attention to detail and demonstrated organizational abilities.
• Experience performing quantitative analysis.
• Experience using Tableau or other data visualization software.
• Proficiency with SQL or other query languages to access and transform data.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• US work authorization.
