Junior Financial Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Monthly Close Tasks- Preparation of monthly revenue journal entries and processing into general ledger. Perform detailed analytical review to identify revenue variances between the general ledger and sales/billing system. Reconciliation of sales and cost accounts.
• Analysis Task- Perform detailed client variance analysis and identify risks and opportunities.
• Administrative Tasks- Work with Senior Financial Analyst to assist in monthly forecasting process.
• Miscellaneous Forecast Tasks- Work closely with Finance team members to update and publish monthly, annual budgets and forecasts, as well as other relevant financial analytics. Assist various departments to manage financial expense control. Perform ad-hoc analysis or special projects.

Qualifications
• BS in Finance/Accounting
• 1 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis/reporting, including ad hoc reporting, variance analysis and budgeting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be an analytical and critical thinker with the ability to dig deep into the details but present high-level findings to management
• Exceptional MS Excel skills
• Detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work within a team environment

Assistant Financial Planning & Analysis
Job Type: Full-time
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Run and interpret reports and tools assigned by Director. 
• Readily grasps numerical concepts and interprets financial information accurately. 
• Identifies opportunities and collaborates with business partners and upper management to implement ideas to improve business results. 
• Support financial planning analysis team on execution of key financial projects as it relates to specified area of ownership. 
• Manage the creation of seasonal financial plans by location. 
• Provide support for creating and updating planning spreadsheets, pulling historical data and merchandise plans, incorporating feedback from the field, and reconciling plans to corporate targets. 
• Provide technical support on various financial projects and analyses. 
• Act as troubleshooter and consultant to the financial planning team and MIO teams by providing expert professional assistance regarding any technical and business process issues. 
• Provide financial planning support on Pace system in trouble shooting issues, seeking resolution and communicating to teams as appropriate. 
• Manage hierarchy structure by gathering the data, updating and validating it in the system. 
• Complete plan by week balancing using the PACE planning system for areas of responsibility as well as evaluating the accuracy of plans balanced by the financial planning teams. 
• Regular creation, review and maintenance of spreadsheets and recapping data on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal & yearly basis. 
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance or equivalent). 
• Ideally, 1-plus years of experience in retail, catalogue or ecommerce buying or planning. 
• Basic understanding of financial performance metrics and financial planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions

Sr. Financial Analyst, Prod & Dev Finance
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Universal City, CA
Responsibilities
• Ownership of OCF and FCF development pacing for Entertainment & Lifestyle Group west coast studios. Manage overall deals and script commitments against budget, determining outstanding obligations and risks/opportunities
• Prepare term deal recap reports for use in various deal analyses/negotiations
• Coordinate and prepare quarterly recoupment summaries of development overall deals, working closely with UCP production finance executives
• Lead development automation system initiatives for development commitment tracking against budgets
• Liaison with creative, business affairs, human resources, and payroll on various topics relating to studio overall deal and script agreements
• Maintain models for production cost/volume tracking, free cash flow submissions, forecasting, corporate reporting, green lights, and direct cost ultimates
• Assist UCP production operations team and production finance team with show cost reporting and green light snapshots
• Coordinate with shared services and controllership for cost estimates, billing, co-production updates, and external receipts
• Various ad-hoc presentations and development/production projects
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of finance experience

Finance and Operations Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Oversee the financial processing, including payroll, accounts payable, TBER, Purchase order requests, Vendors, etc.
• With oversight from the AD of Finance Operations, develop and implement finance operations policies and  procedures; ensuring SPS is in compliance with the University regarding finance policies
• Execute accurate and on-time month-, quarter-, and year-end closing of the School’s budget in-line with the University and Arts & Science policies and procedures as it relates to finance operations by providing support 
• Proactive management of Accounts Payable transactions
• Design and develop ad hoc financial analysis to support program and department goals and objectives are performed timely and accurately
• Supports leadership in ad hoc, high priority initiatives as needed
• Provide new hire training on finance policies and procedures
• May assume some of the responsibilities of the Associate Director Finance Operations in his/her absence or by delegation in her/his presence

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Two years of related experience required
• Experience working with higher education clients is plus
• Familiarity with University Financial Management systems, FFE, ARC and PeopleSoft/Oracle are preferred

Accounting Internship
Job Type: Internship

Responsibilities
• Completes bank and/or account reconciliations.
• Performs filing as needed of various financial documents.
• Prepares journal entries, account updates, and maintenance in accounting system.
• Collates and copy financial data as requested.
• Generates financial reports in SBT, Tramms, Quickbooks or other accounting systems.
• Creates and prepares various financial support schedules.
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Records documents by vendor account.
• Processes invoices for payment via check, ACH, wires.
• Completes daily cash reconciliations to report cash inflows and outflows.
• Maintains master database for Vendors and customers.
• Work with senior staff accountants on various ad-hoc projects

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Familiar with the financial sector, services and solutions
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts and tools
