Data Science Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
• Work on high-visibility projects (e.g. price optimization, content marketing, and demand forecasting)
• Participate in customer engagement, product definition, success metrics, prioritize features, to deliver a polished market-ready product
• Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, and effectively communicate findings and provide key insights/recommendations to various functional leads
• Own cross-functional interactions for your features (across eng/marketing/field/sales)

Qualifications
• Degree or currently pursuing degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Operations Research, Statistics, Economics)
• Proficient knowledge of R or Python, SQL
• Comfortable with quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, data mining
• Good communicator (written & visual presentation)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
• Great team player

Data Science Intern (Summer, 2020)
Job Type: Internship
Location: Westfield Center, OH
Responsibilities
• Assists business unit with work assigned to them. This often includes, but is not limited to, project work and coverage of day-to-day activities within the business unit. 
• Actively participates in summer internship program events including Lunch & Learns. 
• Conducts research and/or other work for projects assigned. 
• May be responsible for department administrative and support duties.
• Develops business acumen through interactions and shadowing with other professionals. 
• Attends business unit meetings as assigned. 
• Creates and delivers presentations. 
• Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.

Qualifications
• Junior or graduate student level actively pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related discipline
•  Knowledge of and experience with mathematical techniques used in data science (e.g. predictive analytics and machine learning, text mining, image recognition, optimization, discrete-event simulation, clustering, and anomaly detection).
•  Knowledge of and experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to learn and apply complex technical material.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

Data Analyst Consultant 
Job Type: Full-time
Location:  Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
• Support and troubleshoot the accuracy and completeness of structure, process, and outcome data related to SMM and maternal mortality from various data sources to the AIM Data Portal.
• Attend and possibly lead the AIM Data Workgroup and data TA calls and activities.
• Provide support to AIM state program managers on issues related to data analysis within state and network teams.
• Conduct analysis and design data presentations on and/or present on data updates to AIM staff and partners, as requested.
• Collaborate with AIM Data Portal vendor, QI Implementation Director, and Data Specialist on the development of quarterly and annual data reports including dashboards for benchmarking quality outcomes, as well as reporting to required entities.
• Collaborate with ACOG leadership, AIM Data Portal vendor, and QI Implementation Director on the development and revision of PSB-related quality metrics, both for existing PSBs and development of new bundles.
• Provide mentoring support to the AIM Data Specialist on basic quality metric and reporting work.
• Attend significant AIM meetings as requested (may be remote attendance).
• Provide ad hoc data reports and information to HRSA on demand, often with quick turnaround times and as promptly as possible.
• Assist other AIM and Advocacy Division staff with special projects and meetings as needed.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health or data analysis required
• Knowledge of clinical quality metric structure, design and implementation 
• Broad understanding of maternal child health care, SMM and maternal mortality
• Experience in customer service and project management
• Experience in leading webinars and designing slide presentations 
• Strong attention to detail and writing skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize and implement multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
• Ability to travel, sometimes overnight
