Associate Economist/Business Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Foster City, CA
Responsibilities
• Assist the principal US economist in researching and analyzing key macroeconomic trends as they impact consumer spending and the payments industry
• Mine existing Visa data and create/develop business methods to forecast/track/communicate performance and industry change drivers 
• Facilitate the sharing of economic analysis across departments to improve business performance and efficacy.
• Contribute to analytical research used with client consulting projects and engagements, and deliver research findings to internal and external clients
• Analyze and interpret market data and economic conditions impacting the business-to-business payments industry to assist business planning and development 
• Draft final reports and prepare and give formal and informal presentations for staff, senior management, and clients to ultimately influence business decisions. 
• Position is project focused and typically requires managing multiple projects and priorities within strict time constraints  
• Collaborate with colleagues in other geographies and teams to support the Visa Business and Economic Insights department 

Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Prefer advanced graduate degree in business or economics; however, relevant experience in lieu of advanced degree will be considered. 
• 3+ years’ experience in the financial services or economic consulting industry.
• Self-starter with an ability to manage priorities and adapt as required to an unstructured and fast paced work environment
• Proficiency in eViews, STATA, SAS, Tableau and Excel

Business Analyst Capital Life cycle
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities
• Assist in coordinating efforts between teams in Chicago and remote offices
• Help prioritize bugs and enhancement requests in Capital Lifecycle team queues
• Actively communicate with Product Managers and remote teams regarding current and future development projects.
• Work directly with Software Engineering teams for Product-related issues
• Attend key Agile/Scrum sprint ceremonies and participates in discussion with development team(s)
• Assist in market and usage analysis for Capital Lifecycle Product initiatives
• Translate market requirements provided by Product Managers into detailed functional specifications
• Verify that developed software matches the specifications
• Update product documentation to reflect developed software
• Support release and launch of software product
• Create and track success metrics for feature releases

Qualifications
• 2 years as portfolio analyst with an asset owner or asset manager
• Limited travel to customers, vendors and partners
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Willingness to join weekly time shift calls to overlap with remote engineers

Business Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the budgeting/re-forecasting process, including working with different departments to analyze variances
• Partner with Executive team to create and maintain Financial and Operational Key Performance Indicators to manage the business
• Analyze syndicated sales data to generate sales projections/forecasting
• Analyze customer and product profitability to help management monitor customer pricing
• Work with our Purchasing Manager to understand the Company’s product costs
• Work with Sales to manage profitability by Sales Channel for our Wholesale business units
• Develop financial models to determine feasibility of opening new stores and project break-even dates
• Work with our Real-Estate department to meet store opening budgets
• Work with our Retail management to analyze the stores’ profitability and recommend corrective measures
• Present analyses to the Executive team and Board of Directors
• Perform regular audits of our ERP and other supporting systems to assure data integrity

Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
• Requires a minimum of four (4) years of financial analysis experience
• Understanding of accounting required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
• Ability to deliver on commitments while working on multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work well in a growing and changing environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with different departments and external parties
• Experience with SAP Business One or other ERP systems preferred
• Previous experience in the beverage industry or similar business sector preferred
• Some travel is required.

Finance and Operations Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Oversee the financial processing, including payroll, accounts payable, TBER, Purchase order requests, Vendors, etc.
• With oversight from the AD of Finance Operations, develop and implement finance operations policies and  procedures; ensuring SPS is in compliance with the University regarding finance policies
• Execute accurate and on-time month-, quarter-, and year-end closing of the School’s budget in-line with the University and Arts & Science policies and procedures as it relates to finance operations by providing support 
• Proactive management of Accounts Payable transactions
• Design and develop ad hoc financial analysis to support program and department goals and objectives are performed timely and accurately
• Supports leadership in ad hoc, high priority initiatives as needed
• Provide new hire training on finance policies and procedures
• May assume some of the responsibilities of the Associate Director Finance Operations in his/her absence or by delegation in her/his presence

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Two years of related experience required
• Experience working with higher education clients is plus
• Familiarity with University Financial Management systems, FFE, ARC and PeopleSoft/Oracle are preferred

Accounting Internship
Job Type: Internship
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Completes bank and/or account reconciliations.
• Performs filing as needed of various financial documents.
• Prepares journal entries, account updates, and maintenance in accounting system.
• Collates and copy financial data as requested.
• Generates financial reports in SBT, Tramms, Quickbooks or other accounting systems.
• Creates and prepares various financial support schedules.
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Records documents by vendor account.
• Processes invoices for payment via check, ACH, wires.
• Completes daily cash reconciliations to report cash inflows and outflows.
• Maintains master database for Vendors and customers.
• Work with senior staff accountants on various ad-hoc projects

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Familiar with the financial sector, services and solutions
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts and tools
