Data Analyst Intern
Job Type: Internship

Responsibilities
• You will be joining a collective of Analysts that will define and document business decisions across the organization and identify gaps in business reporting for the product team
• Master the departments OKR’s and KPI’s and build data insights to shape decision making across the company
• Independently identify and pursue analytical opportunities that will yield actionable insights
• Drive scenario and sensitivity analyses to support the development of strategy and key initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with other internal teams to support high-impact projects

Qualifications
• You are a self-starter and eager to learn
• You have the ability to incorporate feedback, learn under guidance, show results and grow alongside a team
• You are proficient in SQL (Amazon Redshift primarily, MySQL is a plus)
• Intermediate experience with Excel

Option Quantitative Analyst Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities
• Responsible for option modeling for multiple products such as indices, commodities, and equities
• Design and develop statistical models of financial data to devise and back test trading strategies
• Run tactical tests for traders and massive grid computing
• Use stochastic methods, correlated mathematics, and statistics
• Understand and work on issues ranging from methodology and technology questions, to new functionality, features and enhancement requests to present and futures business needs and requirements
• Research and interpret academic literature on related finance and accounting subjects
• Generate ideas for quantitative equity strategies related to stock market effects, financial statements, market microstructure, and other subtle marketplace changes
• Develop, validate, and implement these strategies by applying econometrics, statistics and stochastic modeling techniques to the financial data

Qualifications
•Experience developing algorithms in Python or C# or C++
• Pursuing a Ph.D. or master’s level degree in Financial Mathematics/Computational Finance/Mathematics preferred
• Demonstrated experience analyzing large statistical data sets
• Experience with options modeling
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident team player motivated by a fast-paced environment
• Graduation Date of December 2020 (with start date of summer 2020)

Data Analyst – Intern

Responsibilities
• Experience with market research and analytics. Has applied some of quantitative and qualitative research methods to help find solutions to business problems.
• Compile and analyze automotive data related to manufacturing, sales and trends and help improve and validate forecast assumptions.
• Collect industry-related market research for automotive navigation solutions and understands how to leverage different external sources to estimate total penetration of the company products.
• Comfortable with large data sets and interest in building data models for consumer behavior and business metrics.
• Help combining data from multiple internal and external sources to extract meaning, reconcile assumptions, and identify logical path of action.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to investigate and drive insights into key business trends.
• Conduct the standard suite of product analyses to uncover insights about our products and users.

Qualifications
• Strong SQL and Excel skills with working knowledge of some business intelligence tools like Cognos, Tableau
• Experience with ETL methodologies and tools
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of business processes

Data Science Consultant
Job Type: Internship
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
• Develop advanced algorithms that solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner;
• Execute and teach application of statistical and data mining techniques (e.g. hypothesis testing, machine learning and retrieval processes) on large, unstructured data sets to identify trends, figures and other relevant information;
• Lead conversations with clients and other colleagues to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings;
• Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies and help define our analytic platform;
• Contribute to thought leadership through research and publication;

Qualifications
• This is an entry-level position, a Bachelor or Master’s degree in quantitative discipline is preferred. Candidates from other areas with great skillsets are also welcome.
• Understanding of statistics (e.g., Bayesian, Frequentist, etc.); extensive experience with running statistical analyses using a variety of methods to drive decisions.
• Professional experience with advanced regression analysis, probabilistic modeling, and/or machine learning / predictive analytics, including the ability to use tools like Python, R, etc.
• Understanding of relevant tools/platforms (e.g. database systems);
• Understanding of Agile project planning and project management;
• Team management and skill development experience;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail, with a research-focused mindset;
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

Quant/Data Science
Job Type: Internship
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Data collection and analysis of securities (as well as crypto currencies) and investment positions.
• Building pattern recognition models that identify attractive and unattractive stocks using systematic multivariate frameworks.
• Perform independent validation of analytical models and frameworks, including assessment of conceptual soundness of models, proper application of statistical theories, evaluation of data and assumptions, and performing outcomes analysis (e.g. back-testing and bench marking).
• Understanding of traded products, an appreciation of market risk methodologies and the underlying data challenges.

Qualifications
BS/MS in quantitative discipline from a top-rated university. Solid mathematical background and knowledge of finance, math, statistics, economics principles. Experience performing statistical analysis and knowledge of econometrics. Programming/computational background with working knowledge of Python/Matlab, Excel/VBA, C++, and SQL.Previous use of financial data-sets for personal investing exploration. Understanding of securities analysis(balance sheet and income statement analysis), valuation and earnings forecasting methods. Methodical, diligent, and systematic in approach to problem solving and model building. A self-starter able to research independently and also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work ethic. Necessary to communicate and interact within a team-oriented environment.
