| SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP – NYC |
| Job Type: Internship Location: New York, NY |
| Responsibilities • Building the underlying infrastructure that virtually every other engineering team at Two Sigma uses, such as our distributed storage and public and private cloud environments. • Ensuring the reliability of “mission critical” products and systems vital to Two Sigma, such as our main trading system. • Using a suite of open source and proprietary tools to build the environments that test and deploy our quantitative strategies, also known as models. • Building and maintaining the low-latency, high-performance infrastructure and systems responsible for executing trades. • Building and scaling the infrastructure used to ingest data from 10,000+ sources daily. • Partnering with our Corporate teams to develop tools, systems and products responsible for increasing productivity and efficiency across the organization. Qualifications • Coursework towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a technical or quantitative field. • Experience with Java, C, C++, Python, Ruby, Perl, or other languages that target the JVM. • Experience in large-scale systems. • Exceptional programming skills. • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • An obsession with building quality software. • We are open-minded in our search for critical thinkers who are passionate about technology. While we analyze the data-rich domain of finance, financial experience is not a requirement. |

| Software Engineer Intern |
| Job Type: Internship Location: Seattle, WA |
| Responsibilities • Create, integrate, and consume DocuSign APIs in C#. • Implement front-end features consuming the API in JavaScript. • Create and use Powershell to automate build, test, and other internal processes. • Build internal tools using Powershell, Ruby, or Javascript. • Write and update SQL stored procedures (Microsoft SQL Server). • Write unit tests to ensure the quality of the code. • Identify and automate test cases and improve existing integration testing processes. • Demo your project to the Engineering team at the end of your internship. Qualifications • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. • Completed courses focused on Data Structures and Algorithms.Preferred Qualifications • Coding and design experience, preferably in an OO programming language like C#, Java, C++. • Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby. • Experience with consuming and building RESTful web services. • Experience with git, continuous integration, and deployment tools. • Experience in unit testing. • Excellent communication skills. |

| Software Engineer I |
| Job Type: Full-time Location: New York, NY |
| Responsibilities • Participate in design discussions about new features and approaches. • Write clean, concise, readable code that follows common design patterns and principles. • Complete work with a conscientious attitude and good follow-through. • Collaborate with coworkers from design, engineering, product, project, QA and content teams. • Learn the digital product development lifecycle and our agile process. • Utilize multi-tasking and context shifting skills. • Stay informed with changes in technology. • Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Qualifications • Proficiency in JavaScript, Android or iOS app development • Experience with user interface and interaction design • Some knowledge of UI component life cycles, rendering and performance in at least one of our target platforms • Strong oral and written communication skills. • You are comfortable with collaborating using Git. • Ability to provide code samples either privately or through a Github repo. • Knowledge of JavaScript debugging and profiling. • Must have legal right to work in the United States. |
